International cooperation is one of the most important building blocks for successfully addressing the growing challenges in the field of cybersecurity. That is precisely why ENTRYZERO participated in the Greater Manchester Germany Innovation Summit, where representatives from business, academia, and politics from the Ruhr region and Greater Manchester came together to launch new partnerships and joint innovation projects. Right from the opening, it was clear what this summit was all about. Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, personally welcomed the delegation from the Ruhr region and summed up the event’s vision with a clear message: “We build bridges, not walls.” This idea served as a common thread throughout the two-day event and underscored the fact that innovation today can only emerge through international cooperation.

Cybersecurity Knows No National Borders

For ENTRYZERO, the focus was particularly on cybersecurity. Cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and know no national borders. This makes it all the more important for companies, research institutions, and public agencies to collaborate on solutions for a more resilient digital future. A particular highlight was the visit to the Greater Manchester Digital Security Hub (DiSH). Together with British cybersecurity experts, real-world attack scenarios were simulated and strategies were discussed on how companies can sustainably strengthen their digital resilience. The open exchange of different approaches and experiences impressively demonstrated the added value that international cooperation offers for IT security.

Our CEO, Dr. Mohamad Sbeiti, was also enthusiastic about what he saw:

The Innovation Summit in Manchester exceeded my expectations. I particularly enjoyed the simulation of a cyberattack during our visit to DiSH with British cybersecurity representatives and the discussion that followed.

Strong Networks as the Foundation for Innovation

In addition to the technical presentations and workshops, the summit offered numerous opportunities to exchange ideas with companies, research institutions, and policymakers from Germany and the United Kingdom. In cybersecurity in particular, the best solutions often emerge when diverse experiences and expertise are brought together. The event is part of Innovation Bridge UK, an initiative of Business Metropole Ruhr and its partners aimed at strengthening long-term cooperation between the Ruhr region and Greater Manchester. The goal is to build sustainable innovation networks and advance joint projects in key technologies.

Shaping the Digital Future Together

Participating in the Greater Manchester Germany Innovation Summit provides valuable insights for the development of modern security solutions. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Business Metropole Ruhr, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Andy Burnham, and all the organizers and participants for two inspiring days filled with exciting discussions, new perspectives, and valuable connections.

One thing became clear throughout the summit: cybersecurity is not created through walls, but through bridges.

It is not the clouds that are the problem, but what they conceal. These hidden risks are exactly what ENTRYZERO continuously makes visible.
