At the WORLDFACTORY Demo Day awards ceremony, ENTRYZERO was able to celebrate a special milestone at IDEA 2025. The award honors innovative technologies with significant economic potential and confirms our ambition to rethink cybersecurity. At the same time, ENTRYZERO not only made it into the top 3 of participants, securing its place as one of the best spin-offs of Ruhr University Bochum, but also became the only company among all participants to win a place in the STEP USA University Program in New York.

IDEA 2025 Innovate. Develop. Excel. Accelerate.

IDEA is the annual innovation event of WORLDFACTORY, the transfer and startup center of Ruhr University Bochum. The name stands for Innovate. Develop. Excel. Accelerate. and captures the event’s mission: connecting innovation from research with entrepreneurial spirit and helping it move into practice. Each year, researchers, companies, investors, and representatives from business and politics come together at the event to discover forward-looking technologies and strengthen exchange within the innovation ecosystem. The centerpiece of the event is the WORLDFACTORY Demo Day. Selected companies present their technologies to a specialist jury. The evaluation considers factors such as innovation level, market potential, technological implementation, the team, and the quality of the pitch.

ENTRYZERO in the Top 3

Our platform for automated Threat Exposure Management convinced the jury and secured 2nd place. ENTRYZERO helps companies continuously analyze their external attack surface from the perspective of an attacker. Through the intelligent use of automation and artificial intelligence, potential vulnerabilities are detected early, prioritized, and presented in a clear and understandable way. This gives companies an up-to-date view of their real risks and enables them to close security gaps before they can be exploited. For us, this recognition is a special confirmation of our daily work. It shows that our technological approach and our vision for an automated cybersecurity platform also resonate with an independent expert jury.

The WORLDFACTORY Demo Day is one of the most important events for technology-oriented companies in the environment of Ruhr University Bochum. That makes this recognition especially meaningful.
